Adding Armor

The armor for the weta kits is watercut from 1/8" thick UHMW. This has proved more than adequate on the prototype.

I created the part using the sheet metal function in ProE and then "flattened" it out in the CAD to create a flat part the correct size and with holes in the correct places.

The Armor is easily shaped then secured at the rear by four 10-24 screws and at the front by four plastite screws.
