Pure Dead Brilliant

Our beetle "Pure Dead Brilliant" has evolved a little since its original conception.

It needed to change to a 3S (11.1v) LiPo and a dramatically lightened blade to meet weight for Motorama in February and at that competition it went 0-2 due to a combination of a couple of unlucky draws and the blade being too light to inflict any serious damage.

It went 2-0 at Carolina Combat against a weaker opponent and then we got a HXT35-30 Brushless motor from United Hobbies and this freed up enough weight to add the steel teeth to the blade in time for going to RoboGames. This transformed the bot into a real killer. At that event we took 4th place. Our two losses were more of a result of us beating ourselves rather than any real damage from the opponent.  The bot is a real handful in a small arena!
